Welcome to Buttervilla
Here at Buttervilla we exist in a bubble of peacefulness, just a few minutes drive from the south coast beaches and fishing villages. It's the perfect place to chill out after a busy day exploring the beautiful coastline and be woken by birdsong rather that cars and people rushing around, just right for that relaxing short break.
Situated in fifteen organic acres of exceptionally beautiful rolling countryside, Buttervilla an eco-friendly Cornish country house fully equipped with modern conveniences is a very special place to stay.

We care for our land in a sustainable, natural way and are rewarded with
an abundance of wildlife around our grounds and trails to really help
you get close to nature.
Buttervilla has no farm animals so we have been
able to remove all fences to allow guests to roam freely in the beautiful
countryside. We have never used chemical sprays so the environment is
clean, pure and influenced by the Atlantic breezes with the south Cornish
coast just two miles away.

The rooms are spacious, en suite, have solar heated power showers and very comfortable double beds. Organic teas and ground coffee, digital tv channels, free broadband wi-fi access, local maps, books and restaurant lists are all supplied in your room. Buttervilla is a great place to relax with several quiet secluded places in our beautiful 15 acres just right for doing nothing.
We always try to use local seasonal produce for our breakfasts, home grown, home made and sourced from organic suppliers whenever possible, in season fresh organic vegetables are from our own kitchen garden. Gill bakes the bread and makes jam from our own fruit
With a wealth of glorious beaches, beautiful woodlands, historic houses, interesting towns and quaint fishing villages on our doorstep Buttervilla is the perfect place for couples looking to - chill out - and eat well.
We can offer advice on the best places to visit, the local festivals, events and point you in the direction of those special walks where our local knowledge assures that you experence the best Cornwall has to offer. If your feeling a little more energetic then pop one of our fold up bikes in your boot and head off for a great day out on the local cycle trails.
"A really fantastic place to get away, we'll definitely recommend it to our friends! Great food, great atmosphere - we loved it so much we got engaged! Must be something in the water!"
